Sophia rappresenta il dono con il quale Montegrappa onora la scrittura, quale mezzo di trasmissione della conoscenza e della saggezza, dal greco "Sophia", e dello sviluppo del pensiero umano. Vari sono i simboli rappresentati sulla penna, sul cappuccio vi è la Stele di Rosetta, scoperta archeologica che permise al genere umano la decifrazione dei geroglifici e l'interpretazione dei simboli della civiltà egizia; sul fusto è rappresentato il celebre affresco di Raffaello "La Scuola di Atene"
grazie alla quale il genere umano riuscì a decifrare i geroglifici e interpretare alcuni simboli della civiltà egizia. Sul fusto della penna è rappresentato un particolare del famosissimo affresco creato da Raffaello "La scuola di Atene", nel quale sono presenti i filosofi Aristotele e Platone e il matematico Pitagora.
Sophia represents the gift with which Montegrappa honors writing, as a means of transmission of knowledge and wisdom, from the Greek "Sophia", and the development of human thought.
