We are pleased to announce the first autumn event of our 19th Century Paintings Department: the ARCADE | PAINTINGS FROM THE 16TH TO THE 20TH CENTURY auction, which will be held on October 8, 2025, in Florence at our historic venue, Palazzo Ramirez Montalvo.

In the catalogue, collectors, scholars and art enthusiasts will have the opportunity to appreciate a carefully curated selection of works, among which stand out Night celebration of the annexation of Veneto to Italy by Giovanni Grubacs and Entrance to the Caravanserai of Soltaniyeh paintend by Alberto Pasini.

There will also be works from the Florentine and Neapolitan Schools, such as Tuscany Landscape by Giovanni Bartolena and The Amalfi Coast by Giuseppe Carelli. There will also be works from beyond the Alps, including the View of Rome from the Vatican attributed to Adolphe Bachmann.
Of particular significance is the group of works by painter, illustrator and graphic artist Gino de Finetti, amongo which Horses in Training and Polo Players are noteworthy.
