Dear passionate customers,

Wine, a great wine, is synonymous with culture, luxury, joie de vivre and, unquestionably, charm and elegance. These are the common thread in our journey among the excellences, a path with well-defined stages: all the best labels of the world wine scene; a map that leads to a single event: the auction on 20 and 21 April.

The two days dedicated to excellence opens with Italian products: in the morning the bottles of the Vietti winery will be beaten: all large formats of Barolo Lazzarito, Rocche di Castiglione and Ravera, and of Barbaresco Masseria. An extraordinary start. The morning continues with the selections of important producers of Brunello (Biondi Santi, Soldera, il Marroneto), Barbaresco and Barolo (Gaja, Bruno Giacosa), and all the main productions of our fantastic regions. To conclude the first session, a selection of 21 lots of the best wine of the Langhe: Giacomo Conterno's Barolo Riserva Monfortino. Bottles in perfect condition from extraordinary vintages, such as 2010, and large format. In particular, a truly unique piece will close the morning: a Quarto di Brenta from 1955, an amazing vintage in an unobtainable format.

The afternoon continues with the best of our beautiful region: Le Pergole Torte, Tignanello, Solaia, Guado al Tasso, Ornellaia, Masseto and finally Sassicaia… the list of unmissable lots would be so long as to require a second catalog.

After the incredible itinerary made among Italian products, the second day we spend in France, with a double session that contains the most sought after labels by the international public.

In the morning we will start with the best that the companies of the Rhone, Champagne and Bordeaux have to offer: Hermitage of Domaine Jean-Louis Chave, both white and red, boxes of Salon, Krug and Bollinger, and the most noble Château of France, with bottles unique in large formats, such as the three magnums of Château Lafite Rothschild from 1988, preserved in their original case opened for the first time by our experts when the catalog was drafted; or the six magnum bottles of Pétrus from 1966, which make up a more unique than rare lot.

As in Italy, also for this session we have selected two great champagne houses to present their products which, carefully preserved by their collector owners, are now ready to change cellar: Cristal and Dom Pérignon. There are two most representative lots: a precious Mathusalem di Cristal from 2002, and a very rare bottle of Plénitude 3 (P3) from 1983.

Leaving the aforementioned regions, we move to the Côte de Nuits and Côte d'Or area: Burgundy. We enter the queen region of wine with a prominent guest: the Domaine Armand Rousseau. The lots of Chambertin, Clos de Ruchottes, Clos Saint Jacques, and all the others will accompany us to the conclusion of the second auction morning.

The fourth and last session resumes the journey undertaken previously, and presents the selected lots of the various Burgundian producers: Leroy, D'Auvenay, Ramonet, Méo-Camuzet and many others, with all their main crus, such as the Richebourg of the Domaine Leroy, or the Montrachet by Jean Claude Ramonet.

After the general selections, our journey begins again among the main domaine, protagonists of the indisputable success of Burgundy in the wine world: the precious Coche-Dury, the surprising Rouget, the unforgettable Engel and the sacred monster, Romanée-Conti. All names that have made history and that inflame sales halls all over the world.

This catalog represents the culmination of a constant search for excellence, which has characterized our department since its foundation more than 20 years ago. The culmination of a project that we do not consider as a goal, but as a milestone in our journey motivated by a constant tension towards the highest quality of the products offered at auction.
