Tomaso Piva
Milan native Tomaso Piva represents the third generation of an important family of antique dealers specialized in Italian furnishings and works of art, coming above all from the Veneto and Lombardy regions. After receiving his degree in Law on the International Circulation of Works of Art, he moved to Paris where he got his post-graduate degree in Art History from Christie’s, furthering his understanding of French and International art by also studying gilt bronze objects from the 18th century. Always in the French capital, he began working as a purveyor of Italian art for his family’s business.
In 2015, he became part of Pandolfini, holding the position of Expert and Strategic Consultant for the Furniture and Works of Art Department, to then go on to become Head of the International Fine Art Department, which proposes works of art and exquisite decorative objects of great class and rarity coming from Italy, Great Britain, France, Flanders, and Russia for cultured and sophisticated collecting of the highest level.
