The current artistic research of Loris Cecchini (Milan, 1969) is aimed at scientific investigations and natural processes, attracted by the morphology of plants or minerals, inspired by reticular structures and molecular conformations. Since 2009 the artist has been proposing self-generative modular systems in steel or aluminum, examples of instant installations that can be "built continuously". These combinatorial structures, apparently free and chaotic but based on mathematical schemes or algorithmic calculations, each time take on a peculiar character corresponding to the characteristics of the place, as well as to the elements involved: the modular organization is the creative "process" activated to find an interpretative "solution" to the exhibition context.
