Designed by Jimmie Durham for LABINAC.
Jimmie became fascinated with how more intensely light reflected from broken glass. And proceeded to break pieces of glass and carefully sand down the edges so that curious fingers could easily glide over them.
Bio
Jimmie Durham (1940-2021) was an American artist and activist.
Spanning between theater, performance and literature, his artistic practice is inextricably linked with political commitment, in particular for the rights of Native Americans.
