Francois Borgel è stato un Maestro cassaio svizzero che si è distinto per le sue qualità tecniche e di innovatore.
Nel 1880 realizza per Longines e IWC la prima cassa resistente all’acqua, prosegue la sua attività collaborando soprattutto con Patek Philippe e Vacheron Constatin, realizzando le casse di molti modelli che vedono la nascita tra gli anni 30 e gli anni 50.
Oggi il suo nome è ancora vivo nel mondo dell’orologeria, l’azienda che porta ancora il suo nome, è nota per qualità e inventiva.
Francois Borgel was a Swiss Master cashier who distinguished himself for his technical qualities and as an innovator and inventor.
In 1880 he created the first water-resistant case for Longines and IWC, he continued his business by collaborating above all with Patek Philippe and Vacheron Constatin, creating the cases of many models that saw the birth between the 30s and the 50s.
Today his name is still alive in the world of watchmaking, the company that still bears his name is known for quality and innovation.
