MG B ROADSTER 1° SERIE (1964)

TELAIO N°: 40887

MOTORE: 4 cilindri

CILINDRATA: 1798 CM3

POTENZA: 94 CV

LEFT HAND DRIVE

MG was founded in te 1920s with the aim of building sporty versions of Morris cars: a strategy that continued successfully for more than 50 years.

After a few series of the T Type midget -some of which had great success, among which a class win with Johnny Lurani in the 1933 Mille Miglia- after WW2 MG resumed production and only changed the lines of their cars with the “A” of 1955.

In 1962 at last the new car received a more modern chassis-less monocoque. The MG B was born.

It was to enjoy a formidable success and was produced until the end of the 1970s, when MG and its Oxford plant were closed.

The MG B has been produced in three series and with 4, 6 and even V8 engines. But its best loved version is the classic early first series with its chrome trim and trusty 1800 cm3 engine: just like the car we have on offer today.

This MG has probably been imported before being registered in Mantua in 1984, and later it has been re-registered in Verona in 2007 with the number it still carries.

It has been completely restored and is in excellent condition. The vendor has regularly used and maintained it, and it is ready to be enjoyed.

This vehicle is in good original mechanical condition but for safety reasons, we advise the purchaser to have it checked over and to replace the fluids, filters and perishable elements.
