A TRADITIONAL BRITISH ROADSTER

After a long line of agricultural sportcars based on a prewar design, in 1955 MG changed its position for good with the “A” model.

A completely new chassis was designed allowing a lower position for the seats, which in turn allowed a much lower and modern bodywork, with integral wings to be created. So good was the new MGA that no less than 181,000 were built between 1955 and 1961.

The car on offer today was built in 1957 and has been imported to Italy in 1991, and registered in 1993. As it happened in the period, the Customs have punched a chassis number from their sequence (*), as the original HDK43/28402 was probably only punched in the manufacturer’s plate.

The car was registered as “car of Historic interst” and has an ASI certification. It was last sold in 2003, but used very sparingly in the last ten years.

This vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition but for safety reasons, we advise the purchaser to have it checked over and to replace the fluids, filters and perishable elements.
