A TRADITIONAL ENGLISH ROADSTER

MG was founded in the ’20s by Cecil Kimber with the goal of building sport versions of Morris motor cars.

A number of successful prewar models, the TA in particular, gave way after the war to new iterations of the same type of sportcar with the TC, TD and finally the TF. These small cars were very popular with American servicemen, and they were exported in great quantity.

The TD, of which we have here an outstanding example, was launched in 1949. It is considered to be the perfect T Series, as it still has the traditional look with vertical grille and separate headlamps, but a more spacious interior and indipendent front suspension.

This motor car was imported in Italy in the 1990s and completely restored. Used sparingly and well maintained ever since, it still is in perfect conditions.

The vehicle is in excellent mechanical condition but for safety reasons, we advise the purchaser to have it checked over and to replace the fluids, filters and perishable elements.
