The work is registered in the Piero Dorazio Archive, Milan, as per certificate on photography on 19.02.2018Master of abstractionism and brilliant colorist. During his career as an artist he met many of the protagonists of the abstraction movement, consolidating among the protagonists. After joining the activity of the social art group, he attended the study of Guttuso, but soon moved away from the theses of socialist realism. He resides a year in Paris and in 1950 he opens a bookshop-gallery in via del Babuino in Rome "l'age d'or". The Golden Age, or six magical years (1945-1951) in which the artistic debate in Italy and post-war Europe as well as tangible results in art was never so intense and productive. He is already internationally famous when he established himself in New York in 1953. He returned to Italy and continued his intense exhibition activity, performing artistic stays in European cities. In 1961 he approached the activity of the Zero Group in Dusseldorf. Participates in three editions of the Venice Biennale, at an exhibition at the MOMA in New York, exhibited at the Galerie Im Erker in St. Gallen. His research focuses on the pictorial properties of form, color, spaces and materials: primary color spots arranged on direct curves, crossed color bands, plays of transparencies and chromatic structures, revealing plays of light and surfaces.
