AYRTON SENNA AUTOGRAPH
Ayrton Senna da Silva (1960-1994) was one of the best-loved Formula One drivers of past decades, World Champion in 1988, 1990 and 1991.
Senna enchanted his fans with his ability to interpret the vehicle and for his humanity: at a time that saw drivers almost being transformed into robots, always far removed from the public, Senna managed to be cold and intense at the wheel yet very passionate when he was outside the cockpit.
His dramatic death on that cursed weekend in Imola in May ’94 brought him even closer to the Italian public.
The autograph that we are presenting for auction today was obtained in Monza in 1993 by a very young fan.
