The Patek Philippe Nautilus is one of the most sought after sports and elegant watches by collectors around the world, born in 1976, from the mind of the brilliant master watchmaker Gerald Genta.Its peculiar design was probably inspired by the shape of the portholes of the Nautilus, the fantastic submarine that accompanies the adventures of Captain Nemo, the famous character of Twenty Thousand Leagues under the Seas, one of the greatest novels of Jules Verne, first published in 1870.The first Nautilus, defined Jumbo for its size (42 mm wide) and waterproof up to 60 meters, was a sporty but elegant watch, decidedly robust and waterproof thanks to a particularly refined construction and made of steel. LONGINES LINDBERGH WRISTWATCH IN 925 STERLING SILVER  N. 384XX

 

Secondo l'estratto dei registri dell'epoca il presente orologio Longines Lindbergh in argento sterling 925, fu venduto il 17 Settembre del 1942 alla compagnia grossista Ostersetzer che ai tempi collaborava con la casa madre in qualità di agente sul territorio italiano.

Il presente raro segnatempo presenta un funzionamento particolarissimo, dal movimento a carica manuale, reca sul quadrante una sfera centrale per la sincronizzazione della lancetta dei secondi con un segnale orario via radio e lunetta girevole per la variazione quotidiana dell'equazione del tempo. Modello assai ricercato, si presenta in ottime condizioni di conservazione in relazione all'età.

 

According to the extract from the records of the time the present Longines Lindbergh watch in sterling silver 925, was sold on 17 September 1942 to the wholesaler company Ostersetzer that at the time collaborated with the parent company as an agent on the Italian territory.

This rare timepiece has a very particular operation, from the movement to manual winding, has on the dial a central sphere for the synchronization of the second hand with a radio time signal and rotating bezel for the daily variation of the equation of time. Very sought model, is in excellent condition in relation to age.
