CARTIER ALDO CIPULLO "LOVE" BRACELET IN 18KT YELLOW GOLD

Aldo Cipullo was the creator of the Cartier Love Bracelet in 1969. An Italian jewelry designer transplanted to America, who during his life also designed the lucky Juste un Clou, the Cartier bracelet in the shape of a curved nail. To bring "Love" to life, he took inspiration from the concept of totalizing and faithful love, and chose to translate it on a gold-plated silver bracelet, to which he gave a more oval shape than the canonical one, so that it remained as attached to the wrist as possible . The Love by Cartier was in fact designed to remain tightly closed on you, thanks to a system of small screws that surrounded along the entire surface, and with the possibility of being opened only by the loved one, who, equipped with a small gold screwdriver , could trigger the mechanism by "freeing" the wrist. A great innovation that Cipullo adopted for the Love bracelet was  not giving a gender to the accessory: at the time, wearing a jewel that was not intended for either sex in particular was an exceptional novelty. With the advent of Love, Cartier was one of the great pioneers of genderless jewelry.
